Director of science education unit at GES, Mrs. Olivia Serwaa Opare has advised women to engage themselves in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education because it’s an everyday life activities.
She said this at a training work shop in Sunyani when some selected SHS schools science teachers in Bono, Bono East and Ahafo to present science equipments to them.
Mrs Opare said STEM education is like learning home science in home but what’s making it difficult for female student is approach of teaching and approach of learning.
She also urge teachers to add practicals in their teaching because women like doing.
“Gov’t is ready to make STEM education attractive that’s why through the Ministry of education has presented equipment to boost teaching and learning” she said.
