Executives of Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association(GNTDA) of Wenchi Zone A, met Hon. SS Wahab and some representatives of Hon. Seidu Haruna, Member Of Parliament for Wenchi at his residence.
The meeting was for them to take possession of eight straight sewing machines and five knitting machines.
The machines were made available to the association on hire purchase basis after the association has made half payment while the balance will be spread over a period.
The leader of the group, Mr Ibrahim Baro aka PTA, expressed gratitude to the MP for his great gesture of making the dream of members of the Association come through by this great initiative, where members would own modern sewing machines for timely service.
”These modern machines will help in efficient delivery of services to our clients to meet their demand” he added.
The association also requested the MP to facilitate the process of providing a resource center and a meeting place.
Chairman SS Wahab advised the leadership of the association to take good care of the machines and pleaded with beneficiaries to adhere to the payment schedule to make it possible for more members to benefit from the scheme.
