Our allegations against you were false, baseless – NPP members plead to BOT in court

Two communicators of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Sunyani West Constituency have pleaded with the independent Parliamentary Candidate of the 2020 General Elections in Sunyani West Constituency.

Mr Bernard Oduro Takyi, BOT, who was excessively accused of several allegations prior to the NPP Parliamentary elections in the Sunyani West constituency has directed the two NPP members to officially write to apologise to him amongst other demands to clear his name if he is to let go of the impending defarmatory case at the Sunyani High Court ”B” as pleaded by the two accuse persons.

In a statement sighted by Masemtvgh.com, Mr BOT has instructed his lawyer to call on the accuse persons to comply to a number of demands as stated in the write-up.

On February 2, 2022, the statement indicated that the presiding Judge, at the court sitting, announced that the accused persons have admitted that the allegations made against Mr Bernard Oduro Takyi were without bases and have subsequently pleaded for forgiveness through their lawyer.

FINALLY JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED

B.O.T defamatory court case against James Adu Yeboah and Prince Kyeremeh of Sunyani West NPP finally comes to an end at the Sunyani High Court B

Truth always STANDS and the wheel of justice though may grind slowly but will surely arrive.

Hon Bernard Oduro Takyi (B.O.T), the 2020 Independent Parliamentary Candidate of Sunyani West and a Businessman sued two NPP members on grounds of defamation at the Sunyani High Court B on the premises that ;

1. The two NPP members had on many WhatsApp platforms, Radios and information centers referred to Hon Bernard Oduro Takyi as a Scammer, Serial Killer, Incoming NAM1 of Sunyani West, Visa Fraudster etc.

The two NPP members had almost a year to substantiate their allegations and claims in court but on February 2nd, 2022 at the peak of the full trial of the said case, the two NPP members from Odomase and Kwatire in the Sunyani West respectively through their Lawyer in Court confessed that all the allegations that were levelled against Hon. Bernard Oduro Takyi were false and had no basis.

The Presiding Judge upon hearing THEIR pleas called on Hon Bernard Oduro Takyi to consult his Lawyer and affirm If he is okay with the plea from the respondents.

Hon Bernard Oduro Takyi told the Presiding Judge that apart from being a Politician he is also a Businessman and will not allow anyone to drag his hard won reputation in the mud all in the name of dirty politics.

Hon Bernard Oduro Takyi has referred the matter to his Lawyer to meet the two NPP members with his terms and conditions, which are ;

1. They pay FULLY for all his legal fees from May 2019 till February 2022.

2. They write OFFICIALLY to retract all the defamatory words that were published against him.

3. They go on all radio stations and information centers in Sunyani West and East to retract same.

4. They publish their letters of retractions and apologies in the newspapers.

Hon. Bernard Oduro Takyi wants to use this medium to thank all his loved ones who stood by him in those difficult times. In the same vein, he will want to assure those who think politics is the medium to just destroy people’s reputation to know that they won’t be spared from now onwards.
