The National Democratic Congress in the Bono Region have been hit by the sudden demise of their Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Alhaji Baba Gausu.
The sad incident was recorded on Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Regional Hospital in Sunyani.
According to a release by the Bono Regional Secretariat, the late Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator was taken a short ill at Bole on Saturday, January 29 and was subsequently referred to the Regional Hospital in Sunyani for medical treatment.
Sources say, the Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator unfortunately passed on around 5:40pm on Monday, January 31 at the Regional Hospital.
Alhaji Baba Gausu, who, until his sudden demise, was the Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator. He also served as the Regional Organizer for the NDC in the then Brong Ahafo Region between 2010 to 2014.
Supporters of the NDC in the region say his death will be a huge setback to the part, considering his huge experience and service to the party, at the time the party has began the reorganization preocesses.

The Bono Regional Leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regrets to announce the sudden demise of Alhaji Baba Gausu Awudu, our Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator and a Former Regional Organizer. This sad incident occurred today, Monday, January 31, 2022 @ Bono Regional Hospital, Sunyani, around 5:40 pm following a short illness in Bole on Saturday, which necessitated his referral and unfortunately died few minutes on arrival.
His burial rites will take place Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in line with Islam practice, between the hours of 9:00 am – 11:00 am, @ Sunyani Zongo

NB: The Regional Secretariat has suspended all its Programs and Activities indefinitely, while we mourn our departed Senior Comrade, Alhaji Baba Gausu Awudu.
