The Deputy Regional Communication Officer for the National Democratic Congress in the Bono Region has described the press conference by the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP as a ”deliberate attempt to set-up the Dormaahene for insult”.
Mr Eric Adjei in his write-up roundly condemned the use of unprintable words by the NPP Regional Chairman during his press conference aimed at addressing the claims by the Dormaahene.
”The Bono Regional NPP executives have decided to organize a press conference to insult the Dormaahene who has been advocating for abandoned projects in the Region to be completed” Mr Eric Adjei stated.
”I see this not to be a mere politicking but a gross disrespect to the stool and the personality of Osagyefo Osedeayo Dr. Nana Agyemang Badu 11(PhD).
It is not the Ghanaian culture for a youngster to use unprintable words which is not only unpleasant but insulting against any chief irrespective of his status” Mr Eric Adjei added.

THE DELIBERATE ATTEMPT OF THE NPP TO SET-UP DORMAAHENE FOR INSULT
In an attempt to engage in cosmetic politics and to set-up the respected Dormaahene for insult, the Bono Regional NPP executives have decided to organize a press conference to insult the Dormaahene who has been advocating for abandoned projects in the Region to be completed.
I see this not to be a mere politicking but a gross disrespect to the stool and the personality of Osagyefo Osedeayo Dr. Nana Agyemang Badu 11(PhD).
It is not the Ghanaian culture for a youngster to use unprintable words which is not only unpleasant but insulting against any chief irrespective of his status.
It is insulting and disparaging to describe the chief of Dormaa as propagandist and that, he should resign from his chieftaincy title and join the NDC. This is a gross disrespect against the overlord of Dormaa and the stool he occupies.
Chiefs like Otumfuo Osei Tutu, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, the chief of Afloa, Torgbe Afede, have all lamented over abandoned projects of government and was never dolled out with gross disrespect. What is the exact crime committed by Dormaahene if he charge government to complete abandoned projects which pose serious risk to his people?
In July, 2014 this was the news making headlines in Ghana – “The Okyenhene and President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, has lashed out at government for failing to transform the nation”. No member in the NDC organised a press conference to insult the Okyehene because we thought it wise to allow everyone express his/her view on the state of the economy. https://www.modernghana.com/news/558228/eastern-regional-chiefs-angry-over-bad-roads.html
For the records, it is a known fact that what Dormaahene asserts on the abandonment of projects by the current government is nothing but the truth. The following projects started by the erstwhile Mahama administration have been abandoned by the NPP government;
1. Six Community Day Senior High Schools at; Duadaso No. 2, Adamsu, Buoko, Banda, Danyame, Nkwanta
2. Laboratory and Lecture Hallat the University of Energy and Natural Resources(UENR)
3. Lecture Hall at UENR, Dormaa Campus
4. Domsesereso Primary
Schoolat Domsesereso, Sunyani East
5. Dining Hall at Wenchi Senior High
School
6. Community Health
Provision and Services
(CHIP Compound) at; Benu Nkwanta, Atuahene Krom and Manteware
7. On Roads.
Sunyani Municipal Ring Road, Kyeremasu – Gambiamain road, Dormaa – Aboabo main road, Banda – Dorbor main road, Sampa main road.
8. On Administration.
Tromeso police post, NCA Regional
Office Complex Sunyani, Wenchi Community Centre
The most bizarre and heartbreaking situation is that, we have people occupying powerful positions in government who can lobby for these projects to be completed but these people have turned a death ear to the plight of the people.
The Bono Region have these people in government; Kwaku Agyemang Manu(Health Minister), Ignatius Baffour-Awuah (Minister for Employment), CEO of DVLA ( Mr. Kwasi Agyeman Busia), Board Chairman for Bui power(Hon Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh) etc.
I wish to conclude that, the NPP should exhibit high level of maturity and must not use politics as an excuse to disrespect our Chief in an attempt to surreptitiously please Ghanaians. The NPP will face the wrath of the Dormaa stool if they choose to misbehave with the name – Osagyefo Osedeayo Dr. Nana Agyemang Badu I (PhD).
