As part of bringing security to the doorstep of the people, the Bono Regional Police Command has introduced new strategy to curb crime in the region.
Aside the police visibility, the Regional Command has also introduced “Taking the Police Station to Your House” where residents can reach out to police via special telephone numbers.
According to the Bono Regional Police Command Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASP Augustine Kingsley Oppong, the command has opened its doors to receive information from the general public to arrest criminals.
“We are appealing to the public to finance printing of stickers with our special numbers on them and so we can give it to the people so they can call us during emergency situations”, the PRO spoke on ARK in the morning show hosted by Kwabena Obeng Akfrofi.
“Individuals and philanthropists should come to our aid. We need fuel and air conditioners, as they provide us with information that could lead to arrest and prosecution of criminals”, ASP Augustine Kingsley Oppong appealed.
The Police PRO also promised to conceal identity of people who will volunteer information to police.
