The Yawhima-Kotokrom road under construction is set to be completed by December 2022 according to the contractor.
The contractor, Mr Samuel Opoku disclosed this in an interview on Ark fm monitored by Masemtvgh.com .
According to the contractor, the road will be made motorable and handed over to government for use by close of this year.
“We don’t have problem with financing now. Funds are available for us and by the end of this year, if everything goes according to our wish, I can tell you that we will finish everything” Samuel Opoku assured.
The Chief Executive of Sames Company Limited said this following several concerns from the residents who described the work of the contractor as shoddy.
Mr. Samuel Opoku, however, called for support of the people especially drivers plying the road to respect safety of the workers.
“We will also appeal to the drivers to slow down when using the road. It will help reduce the dust”, Mr. Samuel Opoku applead.
He also assured residents of quality work.
Drivers and residents of Yawhima-Kotokrom on the other hand are calling on the contractor to expedite work on the road as they complain of dust which has the tendency to cause respiratory diseases.
