The Member of Parliament for the Tain Constituency, Hon Adama Suleman has revealed to his constituents on when the contractor on the Nsawkaw – Seikwa Road will be on site.
The Member of Parliament revealed that the contractor has received mobilisation fee to begin construction works on the road.
Speaking on a local base radio station, Tain 90.5 Fm on Friday, January 7 to mark his one year in office as the Member of Parliament for Tain, Hon Adama Suleman used the ocassion to address and account to his constituents on the steps he has taken regarding the several developmental issues within the various communities in the district as well as progress made within the first one year in office as the Member of Parliament.
Responding to a caller on the program on the steps the Member of Parliament is taking to ensure that the Nsawkaw – Seikwa Road is worked on, the Member of Parliament revealed that the contractor for that road project has assured him of moving to site soon.
”I have spoken with the contractor and he, the contractor confirmed to me, that he has received mobilisation fee for the project” he said.
Hon Adama Suleman added that ”the contractor indicated to me that he is working on his machines and will move to construction site soon to begin with construction works”.
The Member of Parliament reiterated of his promise to follow up on the words and assurances by the contractor to ensure that he moved to site as soon as possible.
”Once the contractor has confirmed to me of receiving mobilisation fee, then i will make a follow up to ensure that he moved to start with construction works as early as possible” he said.
The Member of Parliament indicated that he has listed thirty-one roads for the government to consider to work on them. ”I have listed thirty-one road projects for consideration by the government to work on them. Whatever the response may be from the government, i will do what i can do with any resources available to me to work on the remaining ones”.
Touching on other issues of concern raised by some callers, Hon Adama Sulemana renewed his promise to the people of Kwasibuojack and Kwasibekwain to provide these communities with potable water facilities.
The Member of Parliament expressed appreciation to his constituents for their support and admonished them to adhere to all the COVID-19 protocols, including frequent hand washing, social distancing. Hon Adama Sulemana urged his constituents to avail themselves for the COVID-19 vaccines at the designated health centres to ensure that they are safe from the new variant, which continues to spread fast and wide within the country.
