Dormaa West: Pastor Commits Suicide at Agya-Yawkrom

A 57-year-old Pastor, Peter Kwadwo Addo has reportedly committed suicide by hanging at Agya-Yawkrom near Diabaa in the Dormaa West District of the Bono Region.

The deceased who was the Head pastor of Apostles Continuation Church International, Diabaa Branch was found dead after missing for days.

The District Police Commander, DSP Prince Asante Debrah confirmed the incident to the media.

According the Police, the wife of the deceased Madam Georgina Addo on December 2, 2021, reported that her husband was missing.

He told newsmen that all efforts made to find him proved futile.

However, the Police on Saturday December 11, 2021found the corpse of the pastor hanging in a bush at Agya-Yawkrom.

DSP Asante Debrah said the body of the deceased has been buried while investigations are ongoing.

Meanwhile, family of the deceased told the media that the late pastor was deep in debt and was threatened by one of his creditors. “He owed many people including a fetish priest who threatened to disgrace him before his congregation on Sunday”.

This the family say might have contributed to the unfortunate incident.
