A visit to Sunyani Wednesday Market revealed that, the market has piled of refuse with a pungent smell and multitude of flies in the Sunyani Wednesday Market.
The dumping site at Sunyani Wednesday Market is just a stone throw from the centre of trading activities, making it so difficult for the traders to escape the smell they meet at the beginning and end of each market day.
It is not only the traders at Sunyani Wednesday Market who find themselves in such an unpleasant circumstances; the residents nearby also have to endure with the swarm of houseflies which have invade their homes, offices and shops.
But the question one may ask is whose duty is it to clear the piles of refuse from Sunyani Wednesday Market since it is left with only three weeks to enter into the Christmas festivities?
It is not only in Wednesday Market that are dirty ; the shoulders of roads in some parts of Sunyani are really also dirty too.
The Sunyani Wednesday Market is the only place with dirty surrounding I must say where traders have to sit and conduct business in an atmosphere of very unpleasant smell from the garbage heap close to the traders.
Some traders who spoke with Afia Frema complained about the poor sanitation in the Market and appealed to the Assembly to come to their aid.
