A Lecturer at the Political Science Department of the University of Ghana Prof. Ransford Gyampo has questioned the whereabouts of people who were loud in Ghana during the administration of John Dramani Mahama.
The administration of John Dramani Mahama saw some groups and personalities commenting on political issues and complaining bitterly about the poor administration.
However, regardless of the fact that Ghanaians are complaining of hardship and the several scandals the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government has been embroiled with, such eminent men have been quiet.
Civil Society Organizations that were active some years ago have coiled into their shells with some members of these organizations enjoying “big positions” in the current government.
Commenting on the sudden loss of their voice, Prof Ransford Gyampo alerted them that their voices are still needed for the fight for a better Ghana.
He recalled the former Moderator fr the Presbyterian Church of Ghana’s call for wise men to take over the administration of the country because John Dramani Mahama and his men meant no good for Ghana.
He said in a post shared on Facebook that “Do we still have National Peace Council? Is the Christian Council there? Why are CSOs quiet? What is accounting for the low testicular fortitude of eminent men?Rev Prof Martey’s cry which he has stopped, is still relevant “Enyansa fo eeeeiii, mo wo hi?
