NDC has solutions to Ghana’s problems – Mahama

The former president John Dramani Mahama has said that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has solutions to most of Ghana’s current problems.

Speaking during his “thank you” tour of the Eastern Region, Mahama said Ghanaians missed a golden opportunity to bring the NDC back to power in 2020 because it had a comprehensive manifesto containing solutions to the country’s challenges.

Mahama said the NDC would have tackled the challenge of unemployment and other difficulties, had it won the general election.

“The high unemployment rate, businesses are suffering, the economy is collapsing,” Mahama said.

“All the answers to what Ghana is going through today are in the NDC’s 2020 manifesto. The Big Push for Infrastructure – US$10 billion into infrastructure to construct our roads, our hospitals, our schools – they are all in our 2020 manifesto.”

Mahama is currently on a tour of five regions, starting with the Eastern Region, to thank NDC voters for their support in the 2020 general election. His next stops are the Western, Central, Volta and Oti Regions.

Mahama has already visited other regions, including Ashanti and Bono.

He is accompanied by his running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the former chief of staff Julius Debrah, NDC national, regional and constituency executives, as well as a number of former appointees.
