The Member of Parliament for Techiman North; Hon. Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, upon a request from the Education Directorate in Techiman North has sponsored the celebration of the 2021 International Day of the Girl-Child.
The day is a global celebration organised annually on 11th October to raise awareness of issues such as education, legal rights, forced child marriage among other things facing girls internationally.
The Hon. MP indicates that the chosen theme for this year; *“Digital Generation, Our Generation”,* has coincided with her ICT and Robotics development initiative in the district which will be commissioned later this month.
The Hon MP who is a lawyer by profession encourages the girl child to take advantage of her ICT and legal education scholarship programmes. The celebration in Techiman North takes place at Krobo Senior High School.
