Wah- hive Ghana is a non-governmental organization that aims to build the capacity of women in the Bono Region has organized one-day training for youth and women in partnership with MasterCard Foundation, young Africa works, and ministry of communication with the theme, empowering women through a mobile application for economic development. This was held in Sunyani Bono regional capital.
During the program, Miss Janat Issifu stated that wan- hive Ghana is in the region to build the capacity of youths most especially women on skill training in other to reduce the unemployment rate in the country.
She stated, that even though the government is trying harder but also need a helping hand in other to build the capacity of women in this country, she said women also need access to modern technology in other to run business since the world is into digitalization and mobile communication in every sector of the economy
She stated that even though women are more in the country and the world than men and not all women are able to read and write since technology is improving women need a lot of training in other to fix into the technological world so that they will have easy access to the application for business on the internet and computing.
She also advised women in the region to be vigilant and try to take everything seriously when it comes to technology and application development since the world is growing rapidly.
She stated that the more women are well training the more the country will develop.
