Reject the MCE nominee – Nkoranza South NPP appeals to Assembly members

The Constituency Executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party for the Nkoranza South Constituency have unanimously called on all the Assembly members within the Nkoranza Municipal Assembly, to collectively reject the approval of the MCE nominee, Hon Diana Atta Kusiwaa

The NPP Executives, together with a deluge of party footsoldiers, including zonal and polling station Executives made this call ahead of the Assembly’s meeting scheduled for Monday, October 4 as per a proposed regional timetable sighted by Masemtvgh.com, signed by the Bono Regional Minister – Hon Kwasi Adu-Gyan.

In a press release by the NPP constituency Executives, the MCE nominee, who happens to be the incumbent MCE, has woefully failed in terms of development and provision of basic social amunities.

”Apart from Hon Diana Attaa Kusiwaa’s pride, arrogance, indiscipline, deliquency, incivility, impishness, immorality and vulgarity, she is a big failure” the said.

According to the statement signed by the Constituency Communications Director of the NPP for the Nkoranza South, ”in her four year term, common reshaping, fixing of potholes she failed to do so. If Nkoranza town roads are in this state, imagine how roads leading to villages and surrounding towns will be.

”What did Hon. Attaa kusiwaa do with her four year common fund? the statement asked.

On Monday, September 20 after the Minister for Local Government had announced Hon Diana Kusiwaa as the nominee for the MCE position on Sunday, the NPP Executives held a press conference to register their displeasure on her re-nomination at a press conference after some party members went on rampage at their constituency office, destroying items at the party office.

NKORANZA SOUTH NPP TO ASSEMBLY MEMBERS

It is undeniable fact that apart from Hon Diana Attaa Kusiwaa’s pride, arrogance, indiscipline, deliquency, incivility, impishness, immorality and vulgarity, she is a big failure as the head of government in Nkoranza south.

Her first four year term as MCE has been very wasteful due to her abysmal performance.

Apart from government flagship policies that we enjoyed nationwide of which the people of Nkoranza were beneficiaries, we ask ourselves what did Hon. Attaa kusiwaa do with her four year common fund?

Roads

Nkoranza town roads are in deplorable state and nothing home to write about. In her four year term, common reshaping, fixing of potholes she failed to do so. If Nkoranza town roads are in this state, imagine how roads leading to villages and surrounding towns will be?

Lighting system

It is so sad that the lighting system of the only principal street of Nkoranza could go off for a year without fixing and has been in a state of dumsor in her four year term.
In her four year mandate, the people of Nkoranza have lived in total darkness on our streets.

Schools

At least, Hon Diana Attaa kusiwaa was a teacher before she landed the MCE position. Being a teacher, we thought she would have heart for our educational sector but again, she failed woefully in the sector. From her new office to the offices of Nkoranza GES is a stone throw but her visit to the office just to say good morning to her colleagues she once worked with could not be more than 5 in her four year term.

School buildings are in tattered; no furniture syndrome has eaten up our schools under her watch. Six and three units classroom blocks she built could not be more than 5 in a whole four year term.

Poor lobbying and mobilization

Hon. Diana Attaa kusiwaa could not move from her office to neither NGO’S, ministries, agencies, nor philanthropist to seek for funding or projects. She slept in the comfort of her rocking chair throughout as MCE.

Market

If not first, Nkoranza market could be the poorest market in Bono East Region. Tuesday market is the highest source of internal revenue for the assembly but it so sad that Hon Diana Attaa kusiwaa has not thought of making the place decent for the marketers. The only urinal she built for the market women is still not opened

Water system

Under her watch, Nkoranza water supply system that has been in existence over 20 years has collapsed. You can’t count on the flow of Nkoranza water for just 24 hours. ” We are sitting on water yet we are tasty” it is a public knowledge as how she manipulated Nkoranza water supply system to impose her cohorts as mangers and board members. Today here we are.

Security

The security of Nkoranza is in jeopardy. People are killed, momo venders, filling stations, market women are attacked in broad daylight under her watch as head of security in the municipality but she remains adamant to our cries. No proactive measures to curb insecurities in Nkoranza.

It is not for any personal reasons that we urge our assembly members to reject her nomination. These and many more we could not highlight in this statement are known to the people of Nkoranza. We sincerely beg our assembly members not to do disservice to Nkoranza by confirming Hon Diana Attaa kusiwaa. At least if she could not build heaven in Nkoranza, these are pressing and petty needs of us which she failed to address them as head of government.
Her incompetence is enough to say no to her.
