Dormaa Manhene Launches Public Litter Bin Scheme To Reduce Filth

The Dormaa Hene, Osaagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II who doubles as the President of the Bono Regional House of chiefs has launched a public litter bin scheme in the Dormaa Municipality to reduce the indiscriminate dumping of refuse in the street which has been a major Public concern.

The scheme which aimed at controlling Public littering as the Dormaa traditional council has provided over Four hundred waste bins which are positioned at vantage points to reduce the dumping of refuse in the streets which has been a major Public concern.

The President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Osaagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr Agyemang Badu II said, the Dormaa traditional council will bring out a law that would deal with anyone who litters around to deter others from doing same.

He said this when the traditional council organized a clean up exercise to reduce sanitation challenge in the Dormaa kingdom and provided over Four hundred waste bins to be placed at vantage points.

The Omanhene on the other hand also cautioned his people against illegal activities like galamsey and illegal lumbering which is affecting the global warming and urged them to demand appropriate documents from trucks loaded with illegal lumbers or they seize the trucks to the appropriate authorities.
