Nkoranza South in flames as NPP Executives fight the MCE nominee

The Constituency Executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Nkoranza South Municipality in the Bono East Region have unanimously rejected the re-appointed of their Municipal Chief Executive to serve for her second term.

In a press conference organized by the NPP Executives and their members on Monday, September 20, the party members accused the nominee as the one behind the ‘skirt and blouse’ agenda in the 2020 that led to the NPP losing the Parliamentary seat to the NDC in the 2020 General elections.

At the press conference, these irate party members called for the immediate action by the President to rescind his decision to nominate her or face their wrath in the coming days.

PRESS CONFERENCE AGAINST THE RENOMINATION OF ATTAA KUSIWAA AS MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF NKORANZA SOUTH

Ladies and gentlemen from the press and fellow patriots good morning to you. Permit us to capitalize on this opportunity to congratulate the president for a successful appointment and announcement of MMDCES of his second term.
However, With saddened hearts we call you for this press conference.

We the entire NPP in Nkoranza South Municipal of the Bono East Region are by this media appealing to the presidency, the chief of staff, council of elders, the national executives, patrons and all rank and file of the New Patriotic Party to rescind the decision of renominating Hon. Attaa Kusiwaa as the Chief Executive of the Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly.

Infact, as a party preparing to set a maiden record in the political dispensation of this nation of ours by breaking the 8, we need to put people who are selfless, committed, loyal, motivation driven and above all have the great NPP at heart to hold such vital positions to help maximize the party’s fortunes moving forward to election 2024.

Ladies and gentlemen from the press, Hon. Diana Attaa Kusiwaa in her first term of office failed the party woefully by engaging in so many malicious and callous machinations which resulted in the painful loss of the seat to the NDC. We want to arrest this opportunity to bring to the attention of all those that matter to the great elephant family about some of her contributions towards the shameful defeat of the party in the 2020 general elections.

She initiated disunity in the party by constantly engaging in a prolonged quarrel with the then member of parliament and many other party fanatics who dared or tried to mediate to get the problem resolved. She as a result of this worked against the party by not providing information about developmental projects in the municipal, as well as not even resourcing a single party Communicator to be able to market these projects.

She has poor organizational and mobilization skills. Madam Attaa Kusiwaa in her first wasteful four years failed to offer recognition to party faithful, she had no time for the grassroots who were already embittered by her ceaseless brawls with the then MP, the constituency executives , electoral area coordinators, etc. She showed no concerns at all about party’s business and did nothing to maintain the zeal and enthusiasm the party had tried to gather to be able to win the 2016 elections.

Brethren from the press, sadly let us ask ourselves why the NDC are jubilating over her renomination? Obviously, it is because of the alliance she has with them by creating an enabling environment for them to win back the seat on a silver platter. She openly sponsored all the skirt and blouse activities in the constituency for reasons best known to her. This alone has depleted her loyalty for the party.

Lastly, to avert the rapid attrition of members of our dear party since her renomination was announced, we are by this press conference urging all and sundry to join us to make this passionate appeal to the president, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, to reconsider this decision if indeed we want to break the 8. Party members are peeved, total apathy has set in, the party is dying as members are grieving over her renomination

In conclusion, ladies and gentlemen, we want to emphatically state that the entire NPP of Nkoranza South, ranging from the constituency Executives, Council of Elders, Patrons, Electoral Area Coordinators, Polling Station Executives and all NPP supporters of Nkoranza South, are not in support of the renomination of Hon. Diana Attaa Kusiwaa as the MCE for our dear Municipality.
We humbly and soberly want the decision reconsidered or we risk leaving our dear party in an irreparable state. Already, all party activities are in a halt; Polling Station registration, Communication, party meetings or what so ever activity in NPP Nkoranza South are ceased.
