Withdraw and apologise for your divisive ignorant and childish comment – N/E NDC to Akufo-Addo

The North East Region NDC is outraged and disgusted over the dangerous,wicked and nepotistic tendencies by this corrupt, clueless, and insensitive Akufo Addo/Bawumia government to further increase the pain and hopelessness it has brought unto Ghanaians in the last five years.

The NDC has taken notice of the threats issued by this poodle of Bawumia holding himself as a regional chairman to the teeming strong, qualified and willing youth in the region who are seeking to be offered the opportunity to serve their country in the various security services.Your ignorant comments on a live program at Nobya FM a local Radio station in Nalerigu the North East Capital on 28th August, 2021. In the said program the Regional Chairman obviously demonstrated serious uncalled-for utterances that has the potential to further weaken the already ‘NPP partisanized’ security services. For a regional chairman in a live radio programme to callously and arrogantly arrogate to himself such absolute and discretionary authority to determine the ineligibility of a section of Ghanaians to be considered for recruitment process into the Nation Security Services only affirms the long held view of many that, this government is discriminatory, corrupt, cruel and running the country as a family and party property. The statement by the NPP chairman is below;
“As you’re aware, recruitments into the security services are underway. I encourage all party members to send in their applications. If you had ever come out as an NDC supporter to criticize the NPP, we will fish you out and remove your application”.

These statements from the Regional Chairman only confirmed the belief that the NPP is of bereft upright leadership and has no Elders in a Region that wants to produce the NPP next flagbearer and maybe a president. However, the pronouncement is a true reflection of Leadership in the entire country and an account of the Vice President who is the highest political authority in the North East.

We readily recall the style with which President Mahama stormed the North East Region with his Thank You Tour and we can understand the unsettled posture and confusion within the NPP after President Mahama left. And that has manifested in the broadcast by the NPP.

Indeed, the NDC in the Region has listened and studied the shameless content in the broadcast and the bravado with which the Chairman spoke, we in the NDC is of profound conviction that the unethical, shameless and the uninformed stance of the Chairman has the tacit approval and connivance of his paymaster Bawumia.

This open show of divisive and discriminatory tendencies by the NPP has put a spotlight on the deceitfulness of the NPP assertion that the Vice President’s political gain is a gain for all in the Region.
Also, the NDC can assure the NPP that their deeds and actions will be rehearsed to them when the NDC assume the reigns of administration of this country. The NPP Regional Chairman can mark it down for reference and our supporters should be reassurred and convinced that the NDC in the next administration will cross that bridge.

In conclusion, we’re calling on the NPP Counsel of Elders if they exist, to call the NPP Regional chairman to order and get him to offer an open and widespred apology to the people especially the teeming youth across the Region. The NDC has transcribed and translated the content of the NPP chairman live interview at Nobya FM and will share and copy all stakeholders in the Region including our security services.
