Former B/E Regional Minister’s boy allegedly involves in thievery at Atebubu

The Former Minister for the Bono East Region, Hon. Kofi Amoakohene’s boy and a leading member of his campaign team was caught real handed and neck deep with thievery.

Mr.Maatam, who was one of the financiers and a strong member of the NPP in the Atebubu Amanten Constituency was arrested last Friday for buying a stolen fuel, which was siphoned by another NPP Polling Station Youth Orgainizer in the Nyomoase Electoral Area.

After the thief has been arrested, he indicated that he was sent by the NPP kingpin Mr. Maatam to steal the fuel from the Operators of the tractors. He further said that at times they picked car battery and also sell them to other people.

Upon interrogating Maatam, he agrees to the affirmation made by the young man. He indicated that they had been in that business for quite a long time and it is upon this work that he survive. Maatam is one of the strong guys behind Hon. Kofi Amoakohene who works vigorously for the NPP party in and around the Nyomoase Electoral Area.

Meanwhile, Maatam is currently on bail while the case is being investigated by Atebubu Amanten Municipal Police Commander
