The Gyaasehene of Offuman, Nana Owusu Nkwantabisa Duah, also known as Nana Bossman, has been dragged before the Techiman Circuit Court for developing on a piece of land in Offuman, a community in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region without building permits.
According to the Techiman North District Physical Planning Office, calls by the authorities on Nana Bossman to stop developing on the said piece of land and obtain a building permit proved futile as he rather intensified work on the land.
It was gathered that, Gyaasehene was supposed to appear before court yesterday but Nana Gyaasehene was nowhere to be found yesterday when the case was called.
The Action of Nana Gyaasehene made His Lordship Alexander Graham, the Presiding Judge at the Techiman Circuit Court, to issue a Bench-Warrant for the arrest of Nana Owusu Nkwantabisa Duah.
Speaking with Techiman North District Town Planning Officer, Mr John Obeng Mensah said, ”the Gyaasehene has invoked curse on the land and they presented that with pictures before the court as evidence against him in court”.
Finally, Mr John Obeng Mensah adviced everyone to be law abiding because no one is above the law.
