Wofa Okyere,
The conditions of the time have given me but little time to spend in writing my usual “long thesis”. Nonetheless, permit me, respectfully, to briefly call your attention to a propaganda whose foundation you’re setting against your own uncle or brother, the President, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Uncle Okyere, it is a usual theatrical propaganda tactics of a certain group of partisans to connect or attempt to connect comments made by independent persons to your uncle, the President. For such persons, any one closely related to the President has no freedom of choice, speech and thought. Whatever is said by such close relatives, officials or appointees is to them sanctioned by the President.
Concerning your comments passed on LGBTQ+ vis-à-vis the calls on the President to fix the country, though expressly personal should not have come from you owing to your closeness to the President of the Republic. It seem to me, as records of past conversations have proven, that, you are either attempting to speak the President’s mind or attempting to lay a foundation for your comments to be attributed to the President, thereby calling for the usual mischief and propaganda against your uncle.
Respectfully, though the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana guarantees your freedom of speech, expression, thought, conscience and belief in Article 21, the law of critical thinking and logical reasoning also advice on the use of logic and critical thinking to assess the intensity of harm or good one may cause to the other party(ies) on the basis of his/her association with that party(ies). This is where I call your attention to.
Even though you may have only been sharing your personal thought in expression of your Article 21 rights, that right may affect the leadership of your uncle the president of the Republic of Ghana. I suggest then, that, you desist from such public utterances that would yield you no good assuming without admitting that you are a member of the LGBTQ+ proconsols.
Let me end by sharing my personal citizenry opinion on the LGBTQ+. Ghana is for Ghanaians and shall remain so. No amount of foreign coercion, bribery termed donor support, supposed diplomatic and international relations, post independence slavery mechanisms, etc would scare or lure well meaning Ghanaians to accept, endorse and or condone such an abomination.
Any person or group of persons whose interest is to champion such abominable campaigns shall be seen as an enemy to the State. If President Akufo-Addo endorses same, he does that at his own peril. Ghanaians shall never forgive him (even in his grave) and the NPP government in whose tenure of governance such heinous moral harm was done to this nation, Ghana.
Thank you.
God Bless Ghana!
