Residents of New Dormaa dry clothes in their rooms – Abronye DC

The Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Bono Region has revealed that residents at New Dormaa dry their clothes in their rooms.

Mr Kwame Baffoe, made this statement on a local base radio station in Sunyani during a one on one interview on Nimdeɛ Fm 95.1.

The NPP Regional Chairman on Thursday, June 17, 2021, revealed this on Nimdeɛ Anɔpa Adwasuo, which was hosted by Mr Fada Frederick, the regular host of Nimdeɛ Morning Show.

Mr Kwame Baffoe Abronye, who was reacting to issues raised by Concern Residents of Sunyani, on the lack of developmental projects in the municipality under the Akufo-Addo’s government sighted an example of how he unfortunately broke up with his girlfriend at New Dormaa because she dries her clothes in her room.

”I recall how i broke up with my girlfriend at New Dormaa. This girl dries her clothes in her room so anytime she comes to me, she will be in a cold dress. You know when you dry clothes in the rooms, they have certain odour that come with them. As a result of this bad odour from her clothes, i ended up the relationship with her but i later realised that it wasn’t her alone who dries her clothes in her room, all the residents at New Dormaa dry their clothes in their rooms ” he said.

Mr Kwame Baffoe noted that the major problem for the residents at New Dormaa is the dusty room which, according to him, will be completed soon.

On Thursday, September 12, 2020, during a two day working tour of President Akufo-Addo to the Bono Region, assured the residents of New Dormaa of completing their road by the end of November 2020 but this promise is yet to be fulfilled.

The Concern Residents of Sunyani for the past couple of weeks, have embarked on an intensive advocacy exercise to press home and demand for development in the municipality.
