NDC BONO EAST REGIONAL SECRETARAT
Bono East NDC Congratulates the Minority in Parliament for Boycotting the Vetting of the Presidential Nominee for Deputy Local Government, Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah and was disappointed in the lies he spewed out at the one sided vetting committee.
The NDC in Bono East wish to congratulate the Minority in Parliament for boycotting the vetting of the Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah, in protest against the unresolved political violence that characterised the Techiman south declaration in the December elections.
The NDC in Bono East fully endorsed the stance taken by the Minority and appeal to them to further ensure that, the president’s nominee for deputy local government does not become a deputy minister.
The circumstances that characterized the election of Martin Agyei Korsah is a slap on our maturing democracy and approving him as a deputy minister will be an insult to our democracy and the nation as a whole.
It is our very strong conviction that, denying him the opportunity to serve as a deputy Minister will send a strong signal to others who have that mindset of using dubious and criminal means to win an election denying the people their true and right representation.
We are very confident the Minority in Parliament led by Hon. Haruna Iddrisu will use all legitimate means available to make sure he is disapproved of, in ensuring that the stolen parliamentary seat is returned to the right person and also the mystery sorrounding the shooting incident which led to the lost of lives and injury of some individduals is unraveled.
We were perturbed and absolutely flabbergasted with the level of lies and deceit spewed out on the shooting and killing incident which we believe were perpetrated by Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah, when he appeared before the one sided vetting committee, and in the coming days we shall expose his mendacity to the whole world.
This we believe will appease the souls of the innocent Ghanaians who lost their lives and those who were injured during the collation process in Techiman South December election.
The Lord Almighty shall surely speak in this matter, as he was courageous to look into the camera and lied to the good people of Ghana about Techiman South.
Surely the truth shall prevail.
Thank you.
