The Bono Regional Minister Justina Owusu-Banahene has admonished the police administration in the region to intensify campaign against crime in the region especially domestic abuses and homicide.
She explained that recent thrends have shown that there have been incidences of gender-based violence, harassment and strange deaths in the region especially Sunyani and therefore have appealed to the security and other relevant stakeholders to intensify their efforts in curbing the menace.
The Minister disclosed this when she visited a domestic abuse victim who has been bathed with hot water and severely hurt at the Sunyani Municipal hospital on Thursday.
Praising the police for the efforts, she said, the police must make use of the community policing concept adding “in some places they need to saturate the communities with police patrols, intensify police visibility, and embark on monitoring, supervisions and evaluation.
