Bono East Regional chapter of National Road Safety Authority yesterday at the conference room of Waafa Agro limited located off Tuobodom road organised a day Stakeholders’ consultative meeting.
Speaking with the Regional Director of National Road Safety Authority Mr Emmanuel P. Acheampong he explain that, the meeting is to discuss measures to put in place to reduce road accident in the Region.
Mr Emmanuel P. Acheampong said, 82 road accidents were Recorded from January to march 2021 in the Bono East Region.
According to him, these series of accidents resulted in the death of 35 people who were victims of these accidents.
He explained that, Bono East Regional Directorate of National Road Safety Authority has line up a lot to reduce road accident in the Region.
Mr Emmanuel Acheampong, advised all users of the road, both drivers and pedestrians to be careful on the road.
”I will particularly advice our drivers to reduce the rate of speeding and wrongful overtaking which continue to be the two major causes of vehicular accidents on our road” he added.
