We will resist thuggery, intimidations by State hoodlums and EC Manipulations in 2024 -NDC Youth Wing

The National Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) concluded a two day Post Election retreat at Erata Hotel today.

The National Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) concluded a two day Post Election retreat at Erata Hotel today, Friday, May 29, 2021.

The program was purposely organized to review the performance of the Party in the last elections across the country, formulate strategies to restructure the Youth Wing and re-strategize in furtherance of the Party’s reorganizational plans for a resounding victory in the next Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Additionally, the program considered modalities on how to restructure TEIN and position it as an effective intellectual arm of the youth wing. Participants also considered the Party’s proposed constitutional amendments and set a seven member committee to look at the proposals and make recommendations for adoption by the Youth Wing.

All regional youth organizers and deputies resolved to go into the 2024 general elections with the mind of playing by the rules but will not accept thuggery, intimidations by State sponsored hoodlums and contrived manipulations by the Electoral Commission.

The Youth Wing is indebted to all Regional, constituency and branch youth Organizers, and teeming youth of the country for their resilience, commitment and courage despite harassments and intimidations from Security officers. Worthy of commendations are our volunteers and donors for their selflessness. Our deepest condolence goes to families of the innocent souls lost before, during and after the elections, and to the many who were brutalized at polling stations, collations centres and also during post election protests. As the National leadership of the Party has indicated, the souls lost “have attained martyrdom in the NDC and in our collective democratic pursuit, and the NDC will stop at nothing to seek justice for them.”

The leadership of the Youth Wing urges all youth Organizers at every level of the party to actively participate in the reorganization program that will soon be rolled out by the party as we continue our quest to rescue Ghana from the clutches of the inept, deceitful and corrupt NPP/Akufo-Addo government and restore her back to path of development, inclusion and progress.
