”Are you guys the only people with problems?”, NPP Ashanti Regional Communication Director slams his communicators

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) plans to replace their striking party Communicators in the Ashanti Region with immediate effect in order to ensure policies and programmes of government are trumpeted, MyNewsGh.com reports.

According to Mr. Kwasi Kyei Danso, the Regional Communication Director, the striking Communicators have an option to resume from their strike or stay home forever.

There is a standby team already waiting. This team called team ‘B’ are prepared to take up the job so you can stay or resume …we are not perturbed of any strike”, Kwasi Kyei Danso issued this stern warning on Kumasi-based Otec FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

Members of the Communication team have suspended their services to the party indefinitely over what they say total neglect and disrespect to them by the party leadership.

Speaking to their concerns, Mr. Kwasi Kyei Danso called the bluff of colleague striking Communicators stating they can choose to communicate for the party or otherwise.

“It is immaterial. I personally have taken upon myself from one radio station to another. I have not complained. Are you guys only those who have problems?”, the Regional Communication Director quizzed

A member of the Communication team a week ago, explained to MyNewsGh.com that, although they have always remained calm and mute over their being under-resourced, the government in its appointment in the past years has deliberately sidelined them and as a matter of concern, they cannot allow the practice to fester hence their decision to embark on a sit-down strike to drive home their concerns

“We propagate the achievements of government to the masses but ask yourself, what has government invested in us? What are the government’s achievements in us? Sometimes, we buy our own fuel to represent the party on radio and Tv stations because we love the party but at least, some of our members need to be appreciated if not we the young ones” He disclosed.
