Abronye DC failed to gag morning show hosts in B/A with a monthly stipend

The Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, of the Bono Region has failed to get the support of the various political hosts in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions.

It will be recalled that, the NPP Bono Regional Chairman of the governing party, Mr Kwame Baffoe on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, a day to the two day working tour of President Akufo-Addo in the Bono Region, made a promise to the president and the NPP family in his interview on a Kumasi based radio station, Hello Fm.

In the interview, Kwame Baffoe Abronye, opined that, his works towards the 2020 General Election will deliver an unprecedented victory for the New Patriotic Party in both the presidential and parliamentary.

”I want to tell you of a promise i have made that going into the 2020 election, i will make sure that, the NPP, for which i am the Regional Chairman, wins all the 12 parliamentary seats. We are winning all the 12 seats – 12 over 12”.

The garrulous chairman contended that, anything aside the 12 over 12 agenda will be a failure on his part and for him, he was not in as a failure. ”Call me at 8:00pm on December 7, 2020 and you will know that i have won all the 12 parliamentary seats in the Bono region” Kwame Baffoe Abronye added.

After the 2020 parliamentary elections, the NPP that had 11 seats prior to the election, was able to maintain only 6 seats and lost 5 of its seats to the NDC. At the end, the NPP had 6 Parliamentary seats while the NDC also won 6 Parliamentary seats.

To members of the NPP in the Bono Region, the abysmal performance in the 2020 Parliamentary election under Kwame Baffoe Abronye was as a result of wanton grave for wealth by the Regional Chairman, his acidic tongue and disrespect for people. According to these people, the NPP in the Bono has no future should Abronye continues to lead them into the 2024 election having failed on his mandate.

On Sunday, May 16, 2021, masemtvgh.com gathered from a reliable source that, Abronye and his team invited political hosts in the regions for a meeting at the residency. The source disclosed that, this meeting was strictly by invitation.

At the meeting, Abronye DC appealed to these invited hosts to do his bidding and project him into their next regional election which will be held in 2022. Again, Abronye made a deal with these invited hosts not to discuss issues that will cast a slur and dent the image of the vice president, Dr Mahmud Bawumia in order to get the support of these regions in their flagbearership race.

At the end of this meeting, Gh₵700.00 was given to each invited host with a promise to pay a monthly stipend of gh₵1000.00 to each should they go by the agenda as discussed and tabled down.
