The Member of Parliament for Talensi Constituency has presented a number of musical instruments to St. Theresa Catholic Church at Tongo.
On Monday, the Member of Parliament for Talensi joined the Catholic community at the St. Theresa Catholic Church, Tongo, to celebrate morning Mass.
Hon B.T. Baba and his entourage, used the occasion to also present some musical equipment as response to a request made on him by the Parish Priest.
The items were handed over to the church by the Constituency Chairman.
Speaking before the handing over, the chairman urged the church to put the items to the right use and promise to always collaborate with them in all their activities.
The Priest on his part, noted a similar monetary support of GHS5,000.00 from the same Member of Parliament which was received almost a week ago in aid of the church Mothers’ Day celebration’s program.
The annual harvest/dinner programs which have consistently received similar assistances from the Member of Parliament since 2015 as well as his unparalleled monetary contributions towards the building of the St. Theresa Junior High Schools among others were chronicled by the Catholic Priest of the area.
In view of these, the Priest expressed the church’s profound gratitude and indebtedness to the Hon. B.T. Baba and urged members to continue to pray for him to succeed on his work as MP.
After the Mass, the MP again, presented an amount of Gh₵1000.00 to members for a breakfast in appreciation of their patients and reception accorded him and his entourage.
The MP was accompanied by the Chairman, women organizer, the Communication Officer and other members of the party.
