Per the post shared by the MP and Majority Chief Whip ”Fix the Country, Fix the Country Gyimie”. He continued to write these words on his handle

”You don’t pay your taxes

You politicise every good policy

You receive bribe

You enjoy illegal connections

You don’t respect your elders

You over price your produce/sservices

You destroy state properties

You don’t keep your environment clean

You don’t go to work on time

You don’t buy anything Ghanaian

You chase teenagers who are even young to be your daughters

In fact you even cheat on your wife/husband

Please fix yourself first”

For the past two days, there has been a growing movement on social media by Ghanaians who have taken to social media with the #FixTheCountry to share their frustrations and the unprecedented economic hardships they are faced with after five new taxes were introduced by the Akufo-Addo government on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

According to these Ghanaian Social Media activists, there have been continous series of crisis across all the sectors of the country and that the President must quickly fix these challenges to make them have a comfortable and a decent living conditions.

There has been unannounced power outages in Ghana, shortages of water supply, upward increment in data and call tarrif, increment in petroleum products which will lead to imminent increase in transportation fare, growing insecurity as well as a pocket of killings on daily basis in parts of the country.
