Hon Ziedeng donates to Birifoh SHS students who lost their items in a fire outbreak

The Member of Parliament for Lawra, Hon. Lawyer Bede A. Ziedeng as part of his care and concern for his people was at the   Birifoh Senior High school  to make a donation to the school and students who lost their property in a fire outbreak in the school on the 23rd April 2021.

The affected victims lost virtually everything as a result of the disaster.

The items he donated included the following: 24 uniforms, 24 check dresses, 50 pieces of sanitary part, 24 bags of rice, 24 gallons of cooking oil (5litters), 1 box of pens, 2 boxes of key soap bar, 25 packets of omo, 240 exercise books, 1 bag of sugar, 24 chalkbox

The total value of the items donated is ten thousand Ghana cedis(GHC 10,000.00) and it is to enable the students have stable and  peaceful  minds to continue with their studies.

It must be stated that the MP before embarking on this important exercise made sure that he held consultations with the Lawra Municipal Assembly as well as the Municipal Education Director in order to determine the real needs of the students which he then went ahead to procure for them.

This was in fulfilment of the promise he made to them when he first visited the school on the 23rd April 2021, the day of the incident.

It will be recalled that his detractors and some mischief makers had tried albeit ignorantly to put a twist to some sachet water which he purchased for the distressed students on the day of the incident and presented the matter as if that was a donation to the students by the MP.

What they failed to appreciate was the fact that the Hon MP simply showed compassion towards the students who were in dire need of water at the time.
