ECG releases a seven day dumsor timetable league fixture for Accra

In the growing heat by Ghanaians to call on President Nana Akufo Addo to fix the Country; high cost of living and high fuel prices, what seems to break the camel’s back is the release of timetable for load shedding.

Masemtvgh has gathered that the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has released the timetable for the load shedding which is supposed to take place in some parts of the National capital of Ghana, Accra from 10th to the 17th of May, 2021.

This is not the first time as recently, the Electricity Company of Ghana issued a release relating to load-shedding in some parts of the Country.

The load shedding has been categorized into four groups namely; Group A,B,C and D with each group expected to have their light been turned off 6 am to 6pm each day

ECG’s schedule for the load shedding comes after the recent outages which led to many people calling for them to come out and give them a routine that would be used to switch off lights in some parts of the country.

Some parts of Accra which would be affected by the current loading shedding includes; Nsakina, Dansoman, lower McCarty, Abossay okai, Amasaman, Bortianor, Tettegu, Nyamekye, Odorkor amongst many others.

In a related development, the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) is expected to release a temporary load-shedding timetable for the Tamale metropolis in the coming days.

Power supply to certain parts of the metropolis including Lamashegu, Lamakara, Industrial Area, UDS- Dungu Campus, Chogu and others were cut off from the grid over the weekend.

Speaking to Citi News the Corporate Communications Manager at NEDCo, Maxwell Kotoka said his outfit is working to address the technical challenges as soon as possible.

“We are sure that in the next couple of hours or a maximum of two days, we should be able to come up with a defined schedule,” Mr. Kotoka said.
