Tain MP pays courtesy call to workers at Tain District Hospital

On Wednesday April 14 2021, the Member of Parliament for Tain Constituency, Hon Ramzy Sulemana Adama, paid a working visit to the Tain District Hospital where he had a fruitful discussion with the Medical Superintendent and Administrator of the facility.

The authorities took the advantage to lay bare some of the numerous challenges facing the facility.

Among the numerous challenges stated are the lack of adequate beds to admit patients, inadequate supplies and lack of spacious environment to help enforce the covid 19 protocols. They called for the expediency of work on the commissioned but yet to be operational District Hospital facility in order to provide them with the needed assets to deal with the health situation in the District.

It could be recalled that, on November, 6 2020 the president, H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo commissioned the new facility initiated by the Mills-Mahama administration even though work was not completed. Out of pain, the authorities pleaded that the facility be opened for them as it will serve the Tain, Jaman North, Jaman South, Banda and Wenchi District among others in the region as it is to be the second largest facility in the then Brong Ahafo Region.

“We are privileged to have a Dental Specialist, Eye Specialist, just to mention few but due to inadequate spaces they are yet to join us in the district to serve the people” said by the Administrator.

Last but not the least, they pleaded that street lights be fixed from Nsawkaw State Senior High School to the new facility for clear vision at night and since the accommodation there cannot contain all the over 200 staff, the availability of a mini bus to convey workers to and fro will help calm situations.

The MP took the advantage to meet newly posted staff of the hospital. He urged them to work for mankind and God as they have pledge to support lives.

The first time legislator pledged his support to the entire workers of the facility and hence urged them to call on him when the need arise.

On the part of the MP, Hon. Sulemana Adama Ramzy, he has been spotted across the constituency to familiarize himself with the people who voted for him and to assure them of his commitment to work for the betterment of all in the constituency.
