Member of Parliament for Wenchi, Hon Haruna Seidu has expressed shocked over the sudden demise of his constituency Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ibrahim Haruna.
The Constituency Organizer, who has been described as ”Loyal and Hard Working ” of the NDC passed on at the Komfo-Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi after battling a kidney related illness.
A statement by the incumbent MP, Hon Seidu, said ”late Ibrahim played a pivotal role that led the NDC to snatched the Parliamentary seat from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the 2020 general election”.
The MP sent his condolences to the immediate bereaved family, the constituency, the region, the national and entire members of the great NDC party for the loss.
Until his death, the MP said, ”Ibrahim was a hard-working organizer, dedicated to work and uses his personal resources to do party works, mobilize the grass-root, leading to the wrestling of the seat from NPP which has been with them for the past 24 years.”
Hon Seidu noted that the late Constituency Organizer would also be remembered for his kind advice to the party executives and always ready to list and help solve problems among the members if he gets to know of it.
“What I can remember of him is that, when I won the primaries and he saw tears on my cheeks, he said,”Alhaji why are you crying, the big win is coming and this small one you are crying”, Hon Seidu said.
The Wenchi MP said late Ibrahim was one of the party leaders who actually boosted his moral during the 2020 elections campaign and would forever be remembered for his commitment to family needs and party work.
Ibrahim Haruna died at the komfo Anokye teaching hospital after battling with kidney problem.
He would be buried this evening in Wenchi today Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
