The Constitution of the New Patriotic Party provides in:
Article 3(7) 1: A Member may be suspended from membership of the Party, or holding any office in the Party, pending an enquiry into his or her conduct by a Disciplinary Committee.
Article 3(7)2: Any decision to suspend a Member shall not be taken ,unless the nature of the complaint has been communicated to the Member in writing, and disciplinary proceedings have initiated against such Member.
Again, Article 4(3)7a,b & d provides
7a : A complaint against a Member or office holder at the polling station level or non-elected Constituency Officer shall be filed at the Constituency Office;
7b: A complaint against a Regional Executive Committee Member, or Constituency Executive Officer othan than a Member of Parliament, shall be in writing to the Regional Executive Committee.
7d: Upon receipt of a complaint against a Member, the Constituency, Regional or National Executive Committee ,as the case may be, shall, within five (5) days,submit the complainant to the appropriate Disciplinary Committee.
